The Flood

The Flood

The feeling of tears,

but yet no one hears.

There's a tear in the sky.

the bird's fly.

The clouds have overflowed.

Then the winds will blow.

You made the tear,

The tear that I had to repair.

Look at me; tell me how it is.

Space from my heavy flowing love

You see me for who I am.

Wanting to feel the acceptance.

For the love I have found

What is normally dry land.

About this poem

I started this poem in a high school. It was a very hard time in my life as you can see. It's important to me to express myself and today it was though my poem. The concept for this poem was a flood in an emotionally sensitive state of mind and trying to find peace in myself to heal.

Grant Rucker

Grant Allen Rucker or you can call me Grantly. I live in Salem Arkansas with my mom and dad on their farm. I'm going to college, but I'm stuck trying to find a passion. I work as a Bank as a teller, but it's not what I'm wanting to do with my life. I want to do something bigger, reach people's hearts. Thank you for listening. Hopefully you like my sad poem. more…
