Sin, Enemy to Righteousness

Emmanuel Benson 1995 (Adamawa)

Sin, enemy to righteousness
But cordial to tribulations
You Paul pry the minds of the unrighteous
Seducing the thoughts of the righteous
By tempting them during their weakest moments

You condemned Salvation
But embraced tribulations
Because your work in this world
Is to cut that light off
But the light quenches not

You tried to helped me when I was down
But I declined your offers, then you said
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God
but you should know that
For all unrighteousness is sin

Oh sin! Why are you working so hard
To see that golden cap off my head?
Enticing me so that I can go astray
For it is written, " Greater is he that is in me
than he that is in the world"

For I was your slave but now, you are my slave
Worshipping me In an invisible ways
Yet, you are boasting that you are a conqueror
Conquering every souls under the sun
Because that is your mission

But time shall tell
When you shall be caught by your neck
Bombing you in your catacomb
There, you shall know that
Your ends has come

This poem is all about the struggles of trying to live a sinless life. Because one of the major challenges facing Christians these days is temptation.
