"Unrequited Echoes"

In my heart, all fades away, but your memories persist,
In my mind, thoughts wane, only you persist.

All fade from sight, save your captivating face,
Melodious sounds forgotten, your voice takes its place.

The sun yearns to enthrone its beloved moon above,
While evening breezes calm my frame, not my soul's love.

Cool waves kiss my feet, yet fail to quell the burn,
My trembling lips long to express love's fervent yearn.

Perhaps, one day you'll grasp the sun's westward rise,
Release your wait for her, see my love through wiser eyes.

Until then, I'll wait with memories etched inside,
Tears in my eyes, and heaviness that won't subside.

With hope, I'll endure, longing for love's embrace,
Patiently yearning for my unrequited grace.
