I envy your faith
Mine is empty , in vain
Maybe what you believe
Gives a purpose to the pain

When everything stops
Only dark can remain
I’m of the belief
There’s no purpose to the pain

If you confess
Do your penance once again
You will be forgiven
And given purpose to the pain

I suppose I’ll just suffer
Between a rock and my brain
Between hopes and what’s real
Between the purpose and the pain
