The Treasure Near The Shore

I gaze at the sunset in the distance
Colors like a rainbow forming in the sky
The deep blue resting underneath
While the bright sun slowly subsides

I rest my towel on the soft sand
blanketing my feet like a warm hug
Lying back my head to the sky
Listening to the sound of seagulls fly by

I then get up and see the sky dancing in color
The tasteful salty air now engulfs me
Brushing up against my skin and hair
I get up and slowly take steps to the ocean

While I spy rows of closed umbrellas in the distance
Like a neighborhood of houses, all lined up in lovely rows
I stare at the ocean, now the sun is much more dim
Realizing this is truly the place to live
