Remembering a love unrequited

I wanted to tell you about a song– I couldn’t remember anything about it: not a name, lyrics, or melody, but it was strong. It reminded me of you. Strong. I want to tell you more things. How sound looks, how colors burn into my skin, & feel like the smell of a taste I can barely remember. I want to tell you stories, tell you all the things I wanted to do and say, but couldn’t and still regret. I want to tell you how strong you are, like the song I can’t remember. The way the sound dances its story, silent and strong, your rhythm is the same. I want to embrace your song before I forget the melody; the way your skin feels against mine; your smile that bathes you in a forest green color; how I wish I could stop time to savor our moments like a spoiled, greedy child; your name. I still can’t remember the song, so let me share with you a song with a different tune: I love you.
