Silence with a hint of blood
R.J. Bernard 2007 (Massachusetts)
He walked with the blade in his hand, ready for murder
Ready to defend his honor, defend his ego
He was ready for anything to come his way
He was ready to deface a man with a heartbreak
Deface a statue of importance
Ready to fight any man, woman or child
Because skin is just blood to him
He doesn’t care
About any races, sexes, or ages too
He walked with the blade in his hand
Blood on the shirt his mama gave him
Stable in the back of his head
Like it was holding him together
But he never
Was quite so ready to face his demons
He just, wanted a life meant for a nerd
But ended up as a murderer and a psychopath
Never wanted this life to be his
But he faces it and accepts it
He played his cards
He never folded
Even blood suckin’ murderers have souls too
I even bet some of them watched blue's clues and had a laugh
Because momma and dada wasn’t around much
And then they get bullied in school
The pain just hurts way too much
He starts to take in this anger, no one to confide into
He just watches the moon, sees his scars and that it is deep and empty
Wanna know what else is deep and empty? His soul
Because of the people that hurt him so badly
If people really cared. They stick up for him
But they just leave him for dead
The end
