Lovely

Primrose Nakajjo 2003 (Wakiso)

Free verse
She is beautiful
she walks on the
lightning streets
with dark fame swirling
furiously around her
skirts......
Amidst flashing lights
and ear deafening speakers
She said,
"isn't it lovely
skin of Gold
heart of stone
and mind of rage
isn't it wonderful
all because... you are
my enchanted slave
Welcome home..."

About this poem

It's about our people who stand behind the cameras. I'm talking about the celebrities. They go through things that are emotionally, mentally and even sometimes physically exhausted . Sacrificing themselves for money and fame .
