The Dark Side Of Your Heart : A Journey Through the Depths of Love
Mawphniang Napoleon 1993 (Ri Bhoi)
My heart beats fast when reading the shadowed side of your soul,
A realm where demons reign and secrets take their toll,
A place where passions run wild and fire meets the rain.
The hidden depths of your labyrinthine pain,
I tiptoe through with care and gentle art,
For in this darkness, I have much to gain.
In dreams, I wander through your haunted halls,
Where memories linger and regrets are sprawled,
A symphony of sorrow, pain, and pride.
I see your scars, your wounds that won't subside,
And in their depths, I find the beauty calls,
A twisted kind of love that can't be denied.
In your abyss, I find my own dark side,
And know that we are bound in ways unseen,
That we are two halves of a whole divide,
A mirror of each other's broken dream.
And though the darkness may at times demean,
I find in it a truth that can't be denied,
A love that's pure, yet ever so obscene.
For in your shadows, I find my soul's release,
A place where I can be myself, unchained,
And in your pain, I find a sense of peace,
A sanctuary where I am sustained.
So let us journey through the dark and light,
Our hearts entwined, our souls forever wed,
And though the road is treacherous and fright,
Our love is stronger than the fear and dread.
For in the darkness, we are never dead,
But rather reborn into a new delight,
A love that's pure, without a trace of blight.
So let us embrace the shadows and the night,
And all the pain that comes with love's great height,
For in this darkness, we find our hearts alight,
And in your love, I find my shining might.
Your heart's darkness is a fire that burns bright,
A passion that illuminates your soul's might,
A flame that awakens my own inner light,
And in that light, I find our love's great height.
For your heart is a place of mystery and awe,
A puzzle that I seek to unravel and explore,
A riddle that challenges my intellect and history,
And in the unraveling, I find love's sweet encore.
For your heart is a place of wonder and might,
A place where I can let down my guard and be raw,
And in that rawness, I find a love so pure,
A love that forever shall endure.
In the dark side of your heart, I find a strength,
A resilience that overcomes the odds at any length,
A fortitude that can weather any storm,
And in that fortitude, I find a love so warm.
For your heart is a place of courage and might,
A place where I can find my own inner light,
And in that light, I find a love so true,
A love that forever shall renew.
For in your darkness, I find my own sweet light,
And in that light, I find our love's great height.
For love is not a journey for the faint of heart,
But rather a journey that challenges us to start,
A journey that requires us to be brave,
And in that bravery, we find the love we crave.
So let us embrace the dark side of your heart,
And in that embrace, let us never be apart,
For in your darkness, I find a love so true,
A love that forever shall renew.

About this poem
The verse contemplates the splendor and profundity of love lurking in the obscure and shrouded recesses of one's being. It harangues the intrepidity and grit essential to sail through the intricacies of love, and the valor demanded to welcome the obscurity and agony that frequently accompany it. The bard discovers a sense of tranquility and liberation in the shadows and while delving into the other's heart, they unearth a love that is unadulterated and perpetual. The poem lauds the potency of love to irradiate even the murkiest nooks of the human experience and to bestow aspiration and rejuvenation upon those who dare to embrace it. more »
