Finally

I searched for years scared youd never find me, what would I do. Finally you found me lonely, broken and bruised. You picked me up gently and whispered I love you. Thru all the scars and chains, you loved me anyway despite the hurt, baggage and all the pain, and on the days I felt I just couldnt breathe, you were still there loving just me. You were my something new, I found release in your embrace. When life starts to spin, I only have to remember the feeling of your heartbeat thru your chest on my face. And when the dark tries to slowly creep back in, you hold me tight and say I wont let it win. Your the light to my dark, youve become part of my soul, the other half that makes me whole. Thru all the trials and the strife, without you I could not survive, this thing called life. I know it hasnt been easy for you. But just as life as I knew it began to crumble and fall, you reached out for me and kissed my face. thats when I knew God had finally heard my call.
