War

Abhra Majumder 2006 (West Bengal)

War is always on the mind,

There is no answer to defeat.

Feel the battle of grief and anger;

But no one understands the meaning of this word.

Longest than the Mahabharata

Equal land of Kurukshetra

Sometimes wearing the shadow of sorrow, sometimes wearing the rage of anger,

Life is full of despair, but there is no end to it.

This war is the longest blow of all time,

Sometimes the body is defeated;

Sometimes the defeat of the mind.

Borrow like an ax when used by your people;

Life goes on in the court of the god of death.

Yet grief seems to overwhelm me

The land of Kurukshetra could not be found at that time.

Even though there is life now, it is as if there is no life

I did not die, but I still feel that way.
