Venice glamour

Where palaces drown in water,

Where even dust is of gold and gold is of dust,

Where all the noises are melodies

Even the silence is one,

Venice, Don’t let me show my face

I feel lost in your parade!

I’ll make a mask from pearls and let this glamour

Distract my eyes from my tears.

Your marble lies are so hypnotizing,

Your water doesn’t lead nor to the sea nor to the ocean

And it’s so terrifying

How I can reach eternity trusting your directions?

About this poem
