undying love

Ania Mehtab 2001 (Pakistan)

Doses a heart stops beating
In a living body?
can a moon turns its face to
The enlightening sun?
Can any force stops the melancholic waves of the sea
To embrace the shores, even for an instant?
Could the rebellious winds be hindered
From tickling the shady branches of a willow trees
Can a rose be devoid of its exquisite and musky fragrance?
Could the beautiful journey of clouds in the womb of the sky be stopped?
Is there any force that can block the way of pear-shaped rain droplets to reach and bow on the surface of Earth?
Then how could you think,
My heart can stop feeling you
My mind can stop thinking about you
My soul can throw away your enlivening memories
You are that calm, cool, breeze of a night in the desert
Which gives heavenly vibes
Wipes out all the despair
And takes me to the seventh sky
