The Soulless Man

Lying still contemplating life
Trying to interpret my personal insight
The letter written when “we” turned 1 year old
My LOVE holds the keys to his soul
I think I am entrusted with precious cargo
That I must handle with extreme care
Only to realize when I open this place
There is nothing there
It was stolen piece by piece of traumas past
Discolored with colors of anger and sadness
Treated like an outcast
By those who should have loved him before me
I am at a lost
Now my love longs and searches
For the pieces of you that was stolen without remorse

About this poem

This poem was written at a time when I was lost in my marriage. Trying to figure out answers about my husband, however I could not quite understand. I decided to go to a place of where I can fully express myself through my words.
