Tears In The Dark

Tears in the dark,
My smile can’t reach my eyes.
No colors of palm,
Only shades of defeat.

The day deals a hand,
Night splits your cards in two.
The light sighs tonight,
It’s zeal lies true.

Lying eyes,
They find you,
In the nights,
They tell you,
You are all alone.
Lying eyes.  

Down by the dawn,
Time’s ink is running dry.
Deep in the night,
You’ll question why.

Hope is a friend,
Who can’t help but talk too much,
Waving away,
At a fantasy.

Dying light,
