So I Can Breathe

Reach beneath the surface
of my skin I need you to
capture the attention of my soul,
cut in when I'm dancing
with my demons and say
 "I got you!"......
Chasing them into the arms
of the ghosts from my past
Look at me and see the galaxies
that live inside of me
Notice the stars in my eyes,
the fire in my being,
Show me that there is a
right time and place
it's not always wrong

Let me breathe just for a second
If I’m weak be my strength let
me breathe and feel safe and loved
Let me know that being vulnerable
isn't a bad thing
That pain doesn't have to
always come with love
Show me there's a magic left
out here in this hard cold world
and that there's still good
in all mankind

Make love to my mind,
caress my essence,
touch my heart gently
Let me breathe in your love...
Tell me it's impossible to be
strong all the time,
Let me know when you read
my words you feel my dilemma,
that you truly want to understand ME ....
who I am inside, and that you
really do have me... so I........
can breathe......
