Rain

It's raining today and all I'm singing is  a sad song while I think of you and you.
I never liked the rain, the pattering sound never felt soothing to my ears, but, today it was so calming as if it has cancelled out the screams of my heart. As if someone has rubbed an ice on my wounded heart.
But I'll always hate the rain because even if it eases my pain,  it is non-permanent.
There is also  a part where is brings more pain when I remember you were the one with whom I learned to make my first coffee.
Now here I'm, sitting beside the window, sipping my third coffee of the day all alone, while it's pouring outside.
And, I'll always hate the rain because it could never heal me completely.

About this poem

This poem is about a heartbroken girl sitting beside the window while it was pouring heavily while she mourns for her lost love as the rain brings all the feelings and flashbacks of the promises she made with her lover.
