Plague of Lekki tollgate
To that widow's son
Who chose not only sleep to rest
But to escape pains and sadness
By queuing up to immortal
I give my own gun salute
To those Heroes who kissed bullets
And those Heroines who hugged riffles
At the virgin hour in lekki Toll gate
I pay my tribute to
Like a pulverized coal
Their blood is burning
In every vein and artery of youth
As the finger of fate
Reduced many talents to memory
No wonder!
When tyranny becomes law
Rebellion becomes duty
But why their blood?
Instead of their needs
Alas!
Take a look at the flag in their arms
It's void of; Green white Green
But Red Black Red
They're patriots without guns
Saints without feasts
Though, before my final bid of goodbye
Let their blood be a revival of
The nation's honesty and integrity
Since justice, honesty and integrity
Are in oven
Grant them victory over mortal
Since justice and freedom
Are locked in lekki Tore Gate
Let Heaven's gate
Be the source of their refugee.
