Longing

Ever wondered why the sky seems blue when it's not?
That blue... I suppose it's you.
Closer to the horizon, you seem to fade
To broaden your horizons, I facade.
When it gets tougher with my heart's each beat
In hopes to see you, I reach as far as the ocean,
For it is perhaps the only place where we can greet.
Then the night comes and the moon is still beautiful,
Greedy as I am, I yearn for the first light to take me to azure.

About this poem

It is about a long distance relationship. You don't want him to go there but you know you should for his own good.
