Facade

My brain is numb
The pain, the visions
They can’t be undone
I can’t sleep, I can’t speak
The blood, the cuts
It burns so deep
The nightmares, the terror
Everything unravels
You're falling, sinking
Into the unknown
I'm drowning
My lungs, my heart
I can’t get back up
The weight is unbearable
The cost far too high
Your soul in Turmoil
My body's in a vice
The answers are fleeting
The questions intense
I can't begin to untangle this
I wish it all made sense
Trying, failing
Nothing seems to be complete
The cycle is vicious
Unending defeat
Up and down, down and up
Spinning faster and faster
Everything is mucked up
Pleading, begging
Praying for peace
Torturing silence
Frowning, fake smiles
Glowing reviews from The outsiders
I wish I could tell them
I wish someone could see
I wish this could be taken far away from Me I’ve paid the price
So have they
You walk around guiltless and free
Here we sit
Tainted, bruised
Beaten, battered
 Nothing left to misuse
Disfigured, we crawl away from this space The air down there too bitter to taste
Hiding, crying
It feels like the end
Sitting in front of you
You see what you want
 Faking without breaking
Nothing is what it seems
