Ever Ephemeral

Ever Ephemeral

Mystery slips to simplicity, if left alone,
Freed from duality’s monotone.
It’s the colorless crux under an artist’s brush.
It’s a wisp of a kiss; leaves dancing in a rush.

In mystery’s quest, the brain wrests and bends.
In unrequited time, the heart weeps and rends.
Evolving bodies, locked in time and space.
No pride nor prize in our pointless race.

The heart wants, so for mystery we’ll aspire.
A soul’s stance, tethers to transient desire.
Yet mystery leaves room to reach and ascend,
Keeps a promise of process, ineffable to the end.

Mystery nestles in shards and rests,
In split dimensions, to essence it attests.
No solving; Let’s surrender to the marred and pure,
Exalted and damned; we acquiesce to its allure.

Our lives unfold in ether’s nest.
From birth to urn, yet when we rest,
Back to secrets, we’re sure to plummet.
To its eternal spark, no hell nor summit.
