Believe me

He told me
wait for me
But what exactly would I be waiting for?
Believe me
the romance isn’t lost on me
But who will you be doing while I hold up a flag for “us”?
Sounds a lot like a “break” neh?
Temporarily broken up but not really
Ladies be weary
The moment his words bring you confusion
Staying with him will require delusion
The frown brought by that discussion
Tells you clowns now come in handsome faces
Having emotions doesn’t make you stupid
Dismiss the notions that his love potions are all you need to survive
Trust me
I drank those twice
His Cinderella ,you’re like mice
To him, you’re just a game with dice
These rhymes are factually
Don’t stay, you’ll pay the price
And it’s not worth the slice
Have you Itching for his return
 “do you have lice?”
I know this words don’t sound quite nice
I’m just sick of pretty girls turning cold as ice
Wheeling their hearts to I C E
Needing to adopt ice queen mentalities
Because nobody is gonna hurt you again
Honey, keep the peace
Let it be
If it’s meant to be it will be
Sure he’ll miss him
Bets wanting to diss him
waiting for this mate
past your expiration date
Blaming God or fate
Feeling like it’s too late
Likely it never is, but damn
Is it worth the wait ma’am?

About this poem

Opening your eyes to what lies behind waiting for a love half your size. A wake call to those who still need to decide if he/she is worth this tied.
