Adoption

I now have a new mom and dad
I feel all alone and very sad
For years I blocked out of how I was sold
For two hundred bucks, like a piece of gold
But there is something that you just don't see
That there is a difference between gold and me
Gold you treasure and can wear everyday
I can be born and then given away
Time has passed and now I have grown
How will I make it all on my own
I guess I will do the best that I can
Even though life I don't understand
But some day the memories will all come back
And I will be the train that fell off the track
