CRIED

I cried myself to sleep last night,
And you were on my mind.
You brought such joy into my life,
And left such pain behind.
You showed me how to laugh and smile,
And taught me how to love.
So I'll cry myself to sleep tonight,
And you'll be on my mind.
I hope there soon will come a day,
With no more pain and hurt.
Where food will have a taste again,
Not similar to dirt.
When I can learn to laugh again,
And hold my head up high.
Then I won't cry myself to sleep at night,
And you won't be on my mind.
