The Past

The past is the past;
Alter it, you cannot.

The past is the past:
Its records you cannot erase:
Saddening; pleasurable
Its memories maybe.

In deep intropections
You may wallow;
In soberly brooding
You may dwell;
You cannot change it.

Your feelings are hurt
Because sad ideas bombard you within;
Certainly you erred
In endeavours you expected success, but earned failure,
Or, were rewarded with
Ingratitude
And disappointments
By someone you loved:
You cannot change it.

But it's easier to remember
your failures than successes:

Hurts you
Betrays you
Irritates you
Fustrates you;
But
Better FORGET.
