Why try?
Why Try? Knowing inevitability, knowing perpetuity,
Knowing, the ‘full circle’ of existence, the zenith and ebb of things,
Knowing, ‘thou shall fall’, no matter how you start, there will be endings.
The Rise of the moon, its evolution and the eventual thinning into darkness,
The bloom of flowers, spreading aroma, serving as sight for sore eyes, to eventually crumple beneath feet,
The innocence of a new born, the exuberance of youth leading to the frailty of age, eventually to dust.
The mannerisms of existence will never waver, an endless loop, the highs, troughs and eventual lows.
Why Try? When you will heed to life’s ominous bellows.
Dreams, Aspirations, Desires, struggles, we get lost in every day battles,
Neither Happiness nor Despair are our permanent confines,
The stars will shine and fade away, memories will fail in due time,
Here today, forgotten tomorrow, as insignificant as dead crumpled vines
Why Try?
Ride, we must, along this perpetual ride of the past, present and future,
Eventuality cannot be fathomed fully without realizing our little we are,
It is the Journey which is why Try we must,
Being ‘here and now’, living our Hearts out, a little faith just.
Faith, in ourselves, to conquer the demons within and without, no matter how the path may be steep.
To make our world’s existence somewhat better by our presence,
Before we, like everything else, fall to our frailties and take the long sleep.
