Does she think of me or him?

Does she think of me, or does she think of him,
My heart is heavy, my hope is dim.
I long for her touch, her sweet embrace,
But does she long for me, or for another's face?
 
My love for her is strong, it burns like fire,
But my fear of losing her is my greatest desire.
Does she see my love, or is it just a dream,
Am I just a passing thought, a forgotten scheme?
 
Perhaps she loves me, but fears to say,
Or maybe her heart belongs to another, far away.
I'll wait and see, with bated breath,
If she chooses me, or if I must face death.
