there were other thoughts
that waited
wafted through the airs

all around them, they were floating
in and out of
many a hair

dos, but not many were a-noticin'
how the many brought
their gift

when together they did gather
each had something
more a-nift er

than another
differen' and all strange
a-hung out on the branches
God was a-speakin'

through a brother, and
a-nother, but they
only heard a bother
most ... ans hissed

a little flustered and
gathered up their wits
about them

fir to have a fit and fight
the Mighty One
who spoke ...

all through them as a rainbow
though not all through
'um, yet the dark

hung neath the spirit tonez
-- if ya listened right
you could hear the whole

orcheztra sounding out
the underlying refrain of:

listen i am here,
it is here to hear -- always
the truth, if you

ever stop*, the truth --
draws near

(*be still and know ...)

About this poem

the truth is all before us, waiting to be found by the one who wants to know the truth, and waits for to reveal, not trusting too much in his own understanding, the Spirit can reveal more and more truths to him, even forgotten in their past, when they did not think they 'knew' yet, but believed or had faith, not that they were a 'god' kind of faith, not yet had they come to that belief, through many studies and educations of faulty varieties, each lacking something, each drawing away from the Spirit on some point or argument, until the day arrived, after much educations by mankind upon their mind's eye, they had quite forgot the truth.
