I Am Who I Am
Oscar Auliq-Ice 1994 (Port Elizabeth)
The universe expands,
Infinite and grand,
Stars twinkle in the night,
A breathtaking sight.
The earth spins around,
Life abundant and profound,
Nature's beauty abounds,
In the forests and the grounds.
Humans live and thrive,
Emotions they contrive,
Love, hate, joy, and pain,
A never-ending chain.
In the midst of it all,
We sometimes feel small,
Lost in the grand design,
A tiny piece in time.
But remember this truth,
You are unique, uncouth,
A one-of-a-kind creation,
A masterpiece in sensation.
So stand tall and proud,
Say it clear and loud,
"I am who I am,
A marvel in the grand plan."
