WOMANKIND
What is it that makes women so special
Or, even to some men, so ‘dangerous;’
Men, insecure in their own masculinity,
Aghast, when secure women succeed;
Not remembering their mothers who bore them;
Kept them, securely, from harm’s way; nurturing them?
It’s that women are caregivers — in every way;
Neglecting no gender — female or male;
Doing entirely what’s best for the human soul.
About this poem
This one-stanza acrostic poem, “Womankind,” honors and pays tribute to all women, while appealing to all men to pay women more respect; to be kind to mankind in general; and to womankind, specifically.
