Way To Be

My dignified, elegant way of life turned to crude
Leaving me damaged, screwed up and terribly used
Stuck in an alley, diving in a dumpster for destruction
Only to find that the only way out is perfection

You draw me a straight line but then scribble it, I can’t read
You give me directions, but where do you want me to leave
Left, right, back and forth, I struggle to find my worth it so seems
Now you send my self-esteem with your jet pack full of dreams

Leave me
But don’t think I tried to once be
All that you need
I am sunken in soil
My brained you have boiled
In your black tea

Leave me
Goodbye, but I just can’t believe
Who you were to me
You were once ever lovely
In my sad and muggy
Weather, such heat
Way to be

Well my bridges died once you burned the tracks with your ghost
And I hope you know I cared and I even broke your saddened mold
Keeping my hands tied and shackling my feet, what have you done
Now I’m locked up in prison and you have the keys, you have won

Your ignorance
Is my bliss
I once was your goddess
Ruling ruthlessly
Ares, Aphrodite

We hassled
Our castle
In order to battle
Our relationship
Attacked to the hip
Now I’m on my fare warning, if you come around I will break like stone
And so will my barriers in such a beautiful tone

Way to be
Why did you pack up and leave
Way to be
