Stay”

Kaelyn White 2004 (birmingham AL)

Escaping, realization, Feeling emotions that were never there, why? Why me I Say... I dont know
I never Know. Slowing fading away and I stayed.
My own comfort to make you feel comfortable.
Days turned into weeks, weeks into months for you to stay. The void of Feeling emptiness is empty. Empty to the point where nothing is your only choice. Faced society and still don’t understand the concept of staying, Should I stay or go, drop everything and everyone to stay. But would you stay for me? I asked you and you gave me emptiness. You been giving emptiness and I just realize this whole time. I been a fool to see it, gave my all , my time , my compassion, I felt pity upon you, took my time to understand and inclosed ..shelter my feelings, covered my mouth to cover up screams and pain ,cried a thousand rivers for you to drain it away and push it to the side . Nights became silent and damp as it I was talking to m, a wall, a tunnel echoing getting the same responses "I'm ok, don’t worry about it" "its fine" when its never fine. Then I realize, the realization of me staying is pushing me back.I stayed because you stayed. Now you stay and I go. Escaping became peaceful and realization, my void my concept of life became whole again .
