Nothing means anything anymore

Nothing means anything anymore.
The existence of a world where duplicity is ubiquitous, where rabid narcissism and self-absorption run rampant.
The pain in personal gain where consumption is the modern propensity.
The arrogance we display in our own failures, the obnoxious disease that occupies our thoughts.
The forever marching of one's consciousness eternally growing deeper in despair.
The anger and suffering of the individual souls that litter the streets, where we all live in our own egocentric manner in which is our inclination.
The terror at the crashing waves of age slowly eroding our once vigorous body and decaying our once sharp minds.
The loathing of the unfamiliar and the hate in which we all associate.
The insurmountable feeling of being lost in a sea of an unknown future, bobbing around we grasp at the metaphorical drift wood of hope, but as we take hold it crumbles away in our weary hands.
The redundancy of love and humanity in the face of technology and the loneliness whilst surrounded by a throng of loved ones.
The erroneous judgments of our fellow man and the fatuous conversations we occupy ourselves with.
The egregious self loathing and abhorrent self depreciation.
The excessive need for admiration and superficial relationships, just empty entities on our journey to the abyss.
The depression within oppression and the irritation at the absence of emancipation.
The rules of a world that we never espoused and the shackle of law.
Nothing means anything anymore.
