My friend

Your smile seems as though it is planted into place
And your eyes plead for someone to see through the sprout
Will you ever call out for someone to help?
No one can answer that but yourself

Your eyes plead yet your lips lie
Your stress can only build to be so high
Once you flood your dam, your eyes melt into a pool
Spilling over the edge, your pain will flow

The tears do nothing, falling silently
A single rain drop splashing onto the ground
Your smile can only hide so much
And every day it seems you are suck in a muck

But listen to me for my promise I'll keep
Things are not always what they seem
The tears that flow cloud your judgment
But just give me a single moment

Dry your eyes, listen to me
I will make my voice louder than the unbelief
You are perfect just the way you are!
But then you look down at the scar

Don’t you see that you are okay?
Even if it’s only for today
Look at me and not your wrist
Keep your head up, that's the trick
