Life

Cynthia Hicks-Leeper 1956 (New York)

Ever hate to answer your telephone phone?
Wondering what's coming to the ear bone.
Sometimes good news, your ready to fly.
Mostly heard is someone's dead or bout to die.
People rarely call to say hello anymore.
Just to check on you like they did before.
Social media ended the way people use to be.
Not your special voice, just text for all to see .
People pull scams and fake they are someone.
It's like stabbing your friend or shooting with a gun.
They pull tricks, steal money, good at being fake.
But these are the chances, that you socially take.
What happened to the days in life not long ago.
When real life was hugs and handshakes, voices saying "hello".
