Every morning I’d wake up with a tear in my eye , every night I’d fall asleep I’d dream to die , taking tablets that took away my emotions, made me dream of tearing up like a ocean , I had support left right and centre, but no one could take away the pain that I remember, looked in the mirror with tears in my eyes , made me fall to the floor and cry ,used to go on walks just to scream , to then Casually come home and look at my screen ,my heart could no longer handle the pain so I decided to put the pain on my brain , overthinking everything, to the way I said hello and the way I wore my ring ,all my hopes and dreams went down the drain , causing even more pain ,always felt like I was letting everyone down , made me want to put my head under water and drown , I felt like everyone I loved was walking away , but all I wanted was the comfort of someone to stay , once I saw the light at the end of the tunnel finally shining through, I could feel the darkness showering over me,like a late night in June ,all I wanted was to be able to love myself, but even myself couldn’t dream of such a happy book on the shelf

Late kehoe

I am a 16 year old girl , who has suffered very bad with depression. I could never express my emotions to family and friends so I decided to try and out how I felt into words one random night whilst I was on holidays.I’d love for anyone struggling to be able to read this poem and relate to it and know that they are not alone more…
