Bring out the Best in People

Sometimes it takes a person

To bring out your potential

Show you your purpose

And that you are essential

I've been pushed to achieve

Things I wouldn’t normally do

I wouldn't where I am today

I just want to say thank you

If you didn’t bring out

What I was meant to say

I wouldn’t be

Where I am today

Your faith in me

And how I could achieve

Was something in me

I wanted to believe

You gave me the strength

To believe in myself

Not to give up and

Put my dreams on the shelf

There’s so many people

Who have been there for me

You’re the reason I’m pursuing

Everything I’m meant to be

About this poem

This writing is made from a thankful heart to teachers, friends, and 2nd moms that have seen the potential in me that I couldn't see for myself.
