Alone

Alone in my mind, yet held captive within.
So much chaos unloading, yet with peace it cannot begin.
Alone in my mind, yet held captive within.
So much chaos unloading, yet with peace it cannot begin.
I hear the voices calling me, yet what I hear is silence deep inside.
I'm entrapped by intertwining strongholds, yet I'm free to run and hide.
Where do I go? Where can I come?
Can you help me find where I'm from?
Am I real or am I fake?
My mind has me drowning in an endless, spiraling lake.
I'm tired from all the battles, the fights and wars within.
Constantly crawling up and digging out of problems I call sin.
I'm alone in this place.
Ignore the anguish in this face.
I will get myself back to a winning spot.
But until then, alone and held hostage is all I really got.
