A Requiem for the Lifeless

The bitter cold, seeps through the night,
As the wind howls with all its might,
A lifeless body, lay on the ground,
A victim of nature, now forever bound.

The trees sway, in a mournful tune,
As the moon watches, with a solemn gloom,
The stars twinkle, in a distant sight,
As the frozen ground, clings on tight.

The snow falls, a blanket of white,
As the darkness swallows, any sign of light,
A life once full, now nothing but still,
A victim of nature's, unyielding will.

Oh, how the elements, can be so cruel,
To take a life, so young and full of fuel,
And yet, as we mourn this loss,
Nature continues, without a pause.

For life goes on, in its endless flow,
And the cold air, will forever blow,
Reminding us, of our fragile fate,
In the hands of nature, an all-powerful mate.

The requiem plays on, a mournful sound,
For a life lost and a body now found,
The wind continues, its relentless cry,
As nature claims, its eternal prize.
