Love's Resolve: Navigating the Untrue and the Unknown

In this complex world, I find solace in love
But I know it can be a difficult test
For I don't give up on people, it's true
Even when they hurt me, I stay steadfast
Through the ugliness, I stay quiet and calm
And give of myself, often more than I should.

I've learned the hard way, sometimes I should
Protect my own heart, even when I love
And though it may hurt, I stay calm
Resilient in my resolve to pass the test
I won't falter or waver, remain steadfast
Even when others don't stay true.

In life, it's easy to believe things untrue
To think that we always should
Give of ourselves, no matter the cost, be steadfast
But it's essential to protect our own love
To stand up and face the hardest test
With courage, and a heart that stays calm.

Yet sometimes it's hard to stay calm
In the midst of the unknown and the untrue
To face each and every difficult test
And wonder if we really should
Continue to love, to give so much of ourselves
To remain strong and unwavering, so steadfast.

And so, I find myself steadfast
Facing the unknown, with a heart that's calm
Protecting myself, yet still giving of myself
Holding true to what I know is not untrue
That I don't give up on people, that I should
Stay the course, no matter the test.

So here I am, facing the test
Steadfast in my resolve, with a heart that's calm
Knowing that I can love, that I should
Protect my heart, even when it's untrue
And give of myself, even when it's more than I should
For that is the true measure of myself.

I don't give up on people, that's my test
To stay calm, be steadfast, and true
To love even when it's untrue, to protect my heart, as I should.

And so, I continue on, with love as my guide
Despite the hardships, the pain, and the strife
For I know deep within, that love is alive
And that it's worth fighting for, every day of my life

I don't give up on people, even when they falter
For I know that sometimes, we all need a hand
A reminder that we're loved, and that we matter
That we're not alone, and that someone understands

So I stay quiet through the ugliness and the hate
With a heart that's open, and a mind that's clear
Knowing that love is never far, it's never late
And that it's always there, even in the midst of fear

I give of myself, often more than I receive
But I do so with joy, with grace, and with ease
For I know that love is the reason we all live
And that it's worth every sacrifice, every pleas

And when I tap out, it's not because I've given up
But because I've learned that in order to survive
I need to protect my heart, to fill up my own cup
To keep my love alive, and to keep it thriving

For I don't give up on people, I love too long
And I'll continue to do so, every step of the way
With a heart that's strong, a spirit that's strong
And a love that's true, come what may.

Through the valleys and peaks, I'll stay true
To the promise I made, to never give up on you
For I know that beneath the surface of it all
Lies a spark of divinity, a light that cannot fall

So even when the road ahead seems long and hard
I'll keep marching forward, with love as my guard
For I believe in the power of compassion and grace
And I know that love can transform even the darkest place

I'll stay quiet through the ugliness and pain
And give of myself, again and again
For in the end, it's not about what we receive
But how much love we give, how much we believe

So I'll keep loving, even when it hurts
And hold onto hope, even when it seems to desert
For I don't give up on people, I love too long
And I'll continue to do so, with a heart that's strong

For love is the key to everything we seek
It's the source of our strength, the anchor that keeps
And so I'll celebrate its power and beauty
And share it freely, with love as my duty.

My love may not always be returned, that's true
But I'll keep on loving, with all that I can do
For in the act of loving, there's something pure
Something that endures, and that will always endure

And when I need to protect my own heart
I'll do so with care, and with a tender regard
For it's not a weakness, to draw a boundary line
It's an act of courage, a way to say "I'm fine"

For if I am to love, with all that I am
I must also love myself, and stay true to my plan
And sometimes that means, stepping back for a while
To breathe, to rest, to recalibrate my smile

So I'll continue to love, with all of my being
And stay true to the promise, that I'm not leaving
For I don't give up on people, I love too long
And I'll continue to do so, with a heart that's strong

For in the end, it's not about what we gain
It's about how much love we can sustain
And if I can inspire just one heart to love
Then I know my mission on earth is done .
