night birds leave their stooped bodies
come to a house without a roof
a woman comes to a house without a roof
she is made from bread thrown on the floor by children
birds comb her hair with crooked paws
she tells them "i must look like a princess"
the woman comes to the sleeping children
"are you a princess?" - the children ask
she leads them to the hills
where the field grows
hot from the moonlight
