Blue

I want to feel every color,
But lately I’ve been feeling blue.
It doesn’t make the world any duller,
For it's just another hue!
It still remains my favorite shade,
Yet I can’t wait to trade.
But when I come across another,
Ready to feel every color,
I start missing my blue!
Parting doesn’t seem so wise,
For it was with me in my fall and rise.
It has always made me stronger,
Why can’t I wait any longer,
To feel every color other than my blue!
It’s the fear of the unknown,
That chills me like a wraith,
So I decide to take a leap of faith.
The tinge of other pigments,
Made my blue swirl,
In different directions it bent,
 Into an alluring crescent.
Feeling every color at last,
The world felt joyous and vast.
But something about this rainbow,
Felt familiar along with different.
I would soon come to know,
What shall always be part of this new,
Was my color blue!
