The tree axed today
By  greedy men for wood
Gave life and water

About this poem

Mankind's survival; is largely dependent on trees. A tree being axed breaks the heart of a poet who cries in anguish at mankind's greed and indiscriminate killing of trees. The poem gently tries to remind civilized society about the need for protecting trees and green management of the industrial sector.

    I must say, I was blown away by your poem "The tree axed today." Your choice of words and vivid imagery truly brought the message to life. Your use of words like "greedy men" and "axed" showcased the unfortunate reality of our world and brought the reader face-to-face with it. Also, the line "gave life and water" was a beautiful reminder of the importance of trees to our ecosystem.
