Miss

I miss you like tasting the rain for the first time.
I miss thinking about your eyes lightening in the sun.
I miss the warm colours on your skin.
I miss feeling special from within.
I miss talking as if I didn't know what it meant.
I miss the honesty in your compliments.
I miss the way you dressed
I miss the intensity of trying to impress.
I miss the emptiness I allowed in myself.
I miss the perfection in every movement.
I miss how you motivated me like the world was going to end.
I miss the mistakes you tried to bend
back into place.
I miss your face.
I miss the disgrace of youth.
I miss you.
Do you miss me yet?

As if the world were going to end? This speaks to the intensity of the emotion, as if there was not enough time. Dangerous to let anyone have such an unstoppable grip on your Heart. Anyone except Jesus. The songs that sound, You Are My Everything. Balderdash. One will be disappointed if unrealistic. I saw this in lawyer work with divorces. Would you cut her some slack, you Jerk?
Maybe there might be a turnaround. And sometimes it did happen. A four pointer…Wayne Blair.
