sick drop

I.... who am I?
memories in your head
another character on the exit
nostalgia on paper
just another.....
sick drop in the bucket...

I had my face burned
rumors about me scarred
smacking the bottom of a bucket
that comes tearing down.....
as a nasty drop

it burns so much
I want to peel off
that beautiful face of yours
and see what’s inside
that’s hating me so much
leaving me on the outside
because this life I’m living
peeling my days page by page
empty of you....

I’m coming to my senses
a little too late
and it’s getting too hard to see
from the stings in my eyes
bereft of seeing you
tumble into a pit
pass me by from the top
hear you scream
and reach the bottom
before I do
as I had before.....

before I go blind
before another sting
before I become another
recycled sick drop
in your bucket
you’ll be the only and last
nasty drop in my life....
