Words to live By

Iyabo A.A.J 1979 (Washington, DC)

Words to live By
A motto
A speech
A sentence
Together in one place
Forming a perfect union of imagery that is designed to create - A perfect sense of peace to the reader; a
quiet place for the thinker
A vision of home that no one can break
Wisdom is to the scholar – just as eyes are windows to the infinite divine
Concepts of existence are stretched thin as a veil – not fit for human eyes
Speak to the speaker with an open heart rest your mind assured
Open ears and a closed heart will never endure
If I speak of the dark past, which voice will you hear first
If I speak of the truth of life which tree will you bite from first
Take your lessons from the ones before you age and time are common bedfellows
Nature will watch the teacher and knowledge will be student
Listen to the night sky watch the stars bloom
Flowers, sand, beach, moonlight to dusk
Life has a way of always healing the soul – ashes to ashes, dust to dust
