No Forever

KC Michelle 2007 (California)

I remember feeling free
When his arms were around me.
Sitting by our little tree,
He told me forever, we would be,
But for some reason, I just couldn't see.
Did I really want the last name of Lee?
So many questions, I just need to find the answer key.
I mean why did he have his hand on her knee?
He told me it was fine, but how could he?
Ditching me for some stupid bitch named Brie.
Sometimes I swear, his heart is the size of a pea.
He changed his mind within the count of three,
And now i'm the one who has to pay the fee.
He took my heart and stabbed it, committed murder, to the first degree.
But he doesnt care, I know for a fact, I can guarantee,
That he's just going to tell her the same things, that he once told me.
And treat her likes she’s his VIP.
Worlds worst lier, he should be a nominee,
Because he once said forever, but I disagree.
Now he’s from the past, just like an old DVD,
That I sometimes remember, when I turn on the TV.
He’s escaped my grasp, is now a refugee.
But he will soon blow over, much like old debris.
It took a while to get over it, but now I can see,
That forever, just simply, isn’t meant to be.
