You are my worst trait
You make it so hard to think straight
In complex situations
Where all I feel is tension
You take over
You become my controller
You turn my legs into jello
I just wish I was mellow
I wish I did not overthink everything
But here is the scary thing
I wondered why I couldn’t catch my breath when I would hysterically cry
But now I know why
It was you
Who put that 5 year old girl through
The pain in her chest
No little kid should be that stressed
But you did not care
You could not see how it was unfair
And you never went away
Because there you were just the other day
My hands were shaking
My voice breaking
My body did not even feel like it belonged to me
Just set me free
Let me have my peace
Stop making my happiness decrease
I do not want to overthink anymore
Stop making me go to war
With myself
How could you not hate yourself
For what you put me through
This goodbye is long overdue
I do not want you anymore
So now I am going to ignore
