A Love I Once Knew

Johnaton Pressley 1982 (Hattiesburg mississippi)

Take a walk on this journey with me right quick
You see...it was more than her lost of reality at first site beauty, It was more than the kissable formation of her luscious lips… Delicately holding on to a love that once was, Envisioning you as I write my love letter…

You see…it was more than the way her legs bow like Robin hood shot an arrow from them, hopeless me…Heart struck by faith or luck…either way…I’m.. Delicately holding on to a love that once was, Envisioning you as I write my love letter

You see…it was more than the way you held me as if life would cease without the warmth, racing heartbeat  my hug brought simply by breathing in your hypnotizing aroma… Delicately holding on to a love that once was, Envisioning you as I write my love letter

You see…it was more than the I love you's, the I miss you’s…it was how missing you became a disease I would die if caught, it was how loving you felt better than the breath I take to live you see…
Delicately holding on to a love that once was, Envisioning you as I write my love letter

Hope you see this and wonder what could have been
Hope you hear this and feel every word, every verb because you see….
