Harold Fry (movie coming)

Going up to see Queenie
Walking
On sore cramped feet.
Channel to Berwick upon Tweed.
Big hike.
Meeting many people, many districts.

Hospitality or leering looks.
Maureen is angry
About it all.
Left behind in our retirement.
Wonders about all this Queenie stuff.
Grieving death of our only Son.
Maladjusted he was.
Still, I miss Him.

Have it in my heart
If Queenie hears about this
Walk and reunion
She might take hope
Stay alive
Meet with me to enjoy
Memories of our happy
Work together.
Audits for the Brewery.
Trips to the tied Houses.

Beat the poundings
Of bloody Cancer.
Yeah beat them, Girl.
Come out of your mist.
Up in that quiet, removed
Hospice.

Walk on, Old Man.
How is it that folks have
Joined with me? Media?
Hiking seems to be easier.
Nights in fresh air, starlit.
Never forget ‘em.
Just hang on Queenie…
